It is fair if you cannot understand the point, Cortisol is a steroid hormone that regulates a wide range of processes throughout the body, including metabolism and the immune response. A hormone that is released in response to stress, is connected to obesity.
A lot of people know that this hormone benefits us fight anything that’s nerve-racking or tense. The issue here is that these days’ people do not physically fight for existence, but to live with anger and frustration. As an outcome, our body realizes that we have used some calories to deal with our stressors and that we need to refill them, even if we haven’t.
In the meantime, scientists have also found that tears contain hormones that increase the cortisol level. They are prolactin, leu-enkephalin, and adrenocorticotropin. These are produced when are going through a lot of pressure.
Therefore, when we don’t suppress our emotions and cry, such hormones are released and our cortisol level reduces. As a result of that, our body gets the signal that we don’t have to keep fat since the stressful situation is over now.
